Edward J. Priz is President and Principal Consultant of Advanced Insurance Management LLC,
a consulting firm specializing in reviewing Workers Compensation
insurance premium costs.
He has
served as an expert in state and federal courts in cases involving
disputes over Workers' Compensation insurance premiums, audits,
experience modifiers, classification codes, the duties of insurance
producers, and other technical matters involving commercial
liability and property insurance.
He has also provided
testimony in legal hearings before state insurance regulators and
has consulted on the drafting of legislation pertaining to
Workers Compensation insurance in Illinois, and has testified on
insurance regulation before the Illinois legislature.
Mr. Priz has been retained by both
plaintiffs and defendants to consult on matters in litigation,
arbitration, and mediation that involve proper Workers' Compensation
insurance classifications, audits, experience modification factors,
commercial insurance coverage, and insurance agent standards of
care.
Mr. Priz has been retained by
policyholders, insurance agents and brokers, and insurance
companies, as an expert in these fields.
Mr. Priz has qualified as an
expert in these areas in federal and state courts including courts
in Illinois, Virginia, Florida, Nebraska, Colorado, Tennessee, Ohio,
Mississippi,
and Texas.
Mr. Priz is the author of the
books The Ultimate Guide to Workers Compensation Insurance,
published by Entrepreneur Press, and CompControl, published
by Oasis Press. He is also the author of a study on the South
Carolina Second Injury Fund, and a number of articles on
insurance-related subjects.
Mr. Priz holds the professional
designations Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU)
and Associate in Premium Auditing (APA).
