Edward Priz has served as a consulting and testifying witness on proper computation of Workers Compensation insurance premiums and proper classification codes, experience modification factors, payroll audits, Large Deductible and Retrospective Rating policies, and related matters.

Edward Priz has also been retained as a consulting witness and a testifying witness in several criminal cases involving Workers Compensation insurance premiums. He provided trial testimony in a federal criminal case in the Northern District of Illinois and has served as a consulting witness in other criminal cases in Illinois and California.
He has also served
on a task force organized by the Illinois Department of
Insurance to help the department implement Workers
Compensation insurance regulations.
He is the author of three books on the subject of Workers' Compensation insurance.

Mr. Priz has been retained as an expert and consultant by policyholders, insurance agents and brokers, insurance companies, and a premium audit firm (that performs audits for insurers nationwide) as an expert witness in these fields, both as a consulting expert and as a testifying expert. Edward Priz has served as an expert witness in these areas in cases filed in federal and state courts and arbitrations in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Iowa, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia. Mr. Priz has worked full-time in the insurance industry since 1976, and in his career has been a licensed insurance agent/broker, been Vice President of a major insurance agency/brokerage in Chicago, and, since 1983, a consultant on Workers Compensation insurance premiums, audits, classifications and related technical matters.
As a consultant, Mr. Priz has worked with clients both large and small throughout the United States regarding proper Workers Compensation audits, premiums, classifications, experience modification factors, and related technical matters. His consulting clients have included Caterpillar, Bridgestone Tire, Walsh Construction, and the San Francisco 49'ers professional football team, as well as numerous companies in manufacturing, construction, health services, non-profits, and the staffing industry.
Mr. Priz has also been retained as an expert by insurance companies and insurance agencies to provide expertise regarding Workers Compensation insurance audits and premium charges. Mr. Priz has consulted with companies such as Fireman's Fund, Lloyds of London, Zurich American Insurance, Zenith Insurance, Great American Insurance, FCCI Insurance, 7710 Insurance, and others.

He has served as a member of the Workers Compensation Committee of the Illinois State Chamber of Commerce, and authored chapter 22 of the Illinois Workers Compensation Manual published by the Illinois Chamber of Commerce. He is the author of The Ultimate Guide to Workers Compensation Insurance, published in 2005 by Entrepreneur Press. He is also the author of CompControl, published in 1995 (with a revised edition in 2001) by Oasis Press. His most recent book is Workers Compensation: A Field Guide for Employers.
