Edward J. Priz, CPCU, APA,  has served as an expert  regarding Workers' Compensation insurance premium computation, commercial property and liability insurance, and insurance agent/broker standards of care, in both federal and state courts, and in legal hearings before state insurance regulators. He has also consulted on the drafting of legislation pertaining to Workers Compensation insurance in Illinois, and has testified on insurance regulation before the Illinois legislature. Mr. Priz has been retained by both plaintiffs and defendants to consult on matters in litigation, arbitration, and mediation that involve proper Workers' Compensation insurance classifications, audits, experience modification factors, commercial insurance coverage, and insurance agent standards of care.

Mr. Priz has been retained by policyholders, insurance agents and brokers, and insurance companies, as an expert in these fields.

Mr. Priz has qualified as an expert in these areas in federal and state courts including courts in Illinois, Virginia, Florida, Nebraska, Colorado, Tennessee, Ohio, Mississippi, and Texas.

Mr. Priz holds the professional designations Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Associate in Premium Auditing (APA).

He is a member of the National Society of Insurance Premium Auditors, the National Society of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters, the Forensic Expert Witness Association, and the National Association for Business Economics.

He currently serves as a member of the Workers Compensation Committee of the Illinois State Chamber of Commerce.

He is the author of The Ultimate Guide to Workers Compensation Insurance, published in 2005 by Entrepreneur Press.

He is also the author of CompControl, published in 1995 (with a revised edition in 2001) by Oasis Press.
