Advanced Insurance Management was begun in 1987 by
Edward J. Priz, who continues to serve as the principal consultant
for the company. From the beginning, Advanced
Insurance Management was a unique consulting practice, specializing in
helping employers control their cost of Workers’ Compensation
insurance by reviewing the technical aspects of how Workers'
Compensation insurance premium charges were computed.
Mr.
Priz had worked in the insurance industry since 1976. In his insurance
career he had worked for insurance companies, independent agencies,
and insurance consulting companies, prior to establishing AIM to
concentrate on consulting on Workers' Compensation cost and
coverage.
He originally began consulting on Workers' Compensation premium computation in 1982,
and later started Advanced Insurance Management to concentrate in this field. He holds the professional designations
Chartered
Property Casualty Underwriter, and Associate in Premium Auditing.
Advanced Insurance
Management works with employers of all sizes and types, from small
businesses to Fortune 500 size employers. AIM has provided
consulting services to such well known companies as Caterpillar,
Federal Mogul, and Bridgestone/Firestone. AIM
has also provided consulting services to the National Institute
of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) and to Lloyds of
London.
Although the
company has grown to include other consultants and staff, Edward Priz continues to serve not only as President of Advanced
Insurance Management LLC, but also as the Principal Consultant of
the firm, making sure every case receives his personal involvement
and attention. This also means that all work done by AIM is
subject to meeting the
ethics
code of the Society of Chartered Property Casualty
Underwriters, (as Mr. Priz is a member of that body) and our
own ethics code as well.
Advanced Insurance
Management is also a member of the Better Business Bureau,
to assure clients and prospective clients of our commitment to
ethical business dealings.
Edward J. Priz has served on the Workers’ Compensation Committee of the
Illinois Manufacturers Association, and the Employment Law Council of
the Illinois Chamber of Commerce. He has also served on a task force organized by the Illinois
Department of Insurance to implement new Workers’ Compensation insurance
regulations. He has presented lectures and seminars before a number of
insurance and business groups, including The Workers Compensation Claims
Association, The Greater Peoria Contractors & Suppliers Association, The
Central Illinois Employers Association, The Illinois Manufacturers
Association, The Missouri Contractors Association, The Midwest Society of
Professional Consultants, The Illinois 1752 Club (an organization of
insurance marketing professionals), The Chicago Roofing Contractors
Association, the International Recreational Water Professionals, Caterpillar,
and at the Construction Risk Conference sponsored by the International
Risk Management Institute.
Edward J. Priz has also developed several seminars approved for Continuing
Education credit for insurance producers by the Illinois Department of
Insurance. He has also assisted clients in successful appeals of NCCI
decisions at the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board. Priz has
also assisted clients in legal hearings before the Illinois Department of
Insurance and the Nebraska Department of Insurance.
Edward
Priz has been accepted as an expert on Workers' Compensation premium
calculation and other aspects of commercial insurance in federal and
state courts, and is a member of the
Society of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters, and a member of the
National Society of Insurance Premium Auditors.
He is the author of the books
